Hi,
Will be in Northern Utah this weekend signing books at the Hastings in Logan. Come and have a book signed. I’ll even be nice for once. I plan on doing the line-up from Time Bandits, where the serfs are getting not only free goods from Robin Hood, but a punch in the head from one of the local thugs. I need to find a local thug.
If you haven’t seen Time Bandits, it’s a real treat.

Elisabeth Shue is so innocent and beautiful in The Saint. When I went to opening night to see the film on April 4th, 1997 (I remember the date as it was the last time my ex-girlfriend and I had a nice time together), I was quite upset to see her and Val in their respective rolls, since I grew up with Roger Moore and Ian Olgilvie in the title roles. Anyway, I walked out with a bad taste in my mouth, but did enjoy getting into my black 1995 850 T5R and driving through the stunned crowd. It was a pretty hot car in that time period.
In the last two years, I have grown to appreciate Elisabeth’s versatility, esp. in such films as Palmetto, and Leaving Las Vegas.
Elisabeth, all I can say is let’s start getting you the credit that’s due. And get on your agent to find you the proper role to showcase your talent. Be the star this time. You have no business playing the supporting actor any more.

What’s the matter with you clowns? I’m hearing all these Negative Nancys out there slamming Elisabeth Shue. Hey, we all get old, and I’ll guarantee not one of her critics would kick her out of bed.
I do make fun of her – as well as a myriad of people – in my book and on my website, but I still have the greatest respect for her. She is the mother of three kids, happily married (dammit), and has a degree in Political Science from Harvard. She managed to do all that while still making films.
She may not have made terrific films over the years, but at least she hung in there and did what she loves to do. She is still greatly respected by the Hollywood business, and she will continue to earn that respect. Haven’t seen her in any scandals like so many obnoxious actors out there, so again – kudos to Elisabeth.
And the next time some piss-ant wants to slam her because she “looks bad” in a photo, stick your pathetic mug on the internet so we can have a crack at you.

Anyone out there know anything about Booksurge? It’s a self-publishing group and they want my current book and my next book. I may use Outskirts Press again, but I’m tempted to sit back and let a publisher like Kensington Books publish my next book. That way, the advertising and book placement will be done by them.
The next book is a humor / historical non-fiction / fiction, if there is such a thing, so if there is anyone out there, please recommend a publisher or agent.
Corpsey the Bear needs a new publisher.
I really wish now that I had included a chapter in the book about Corpsey getting Hepatitis A from eating at Carl’s Jr. There was a major lawsuit involving that, so I will avoid a slander suit myself. I will post the suit website URL this week so that you may see for yourself.
Maybe Papa Bear could have dragged the family out to Carl’s Jr. to get a Famous Star and well… let’s say there could have been only one little Corpsey casualty.
